Diner Q ("we", "our", "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and restaurant operating system services (the "Service").
Information You Provide to Us
Restaurant Owners: Name, restaurant name, address, phone number, email, GST number, FSSAI license (optional), payment details.
Customers (end users): When ordering via Diner Q, we collect name, phone number, delivery address, order history, and preferences – but this data belongs to the restaurant, not us. We process it on behalf of the restaurant.
Log data (IP address, browser type, pages visited)
Device information
Cookies and similar tracking technologies (see Cookie Policy)
Payment gateways (Razorpay, Paytm, Cashfree) – we receive transaction status but not full card details.
Google Analytics and Facebook Pixel (for website analytics and advertising).
To provide, maintain, and improve the Service (e.g., order routing, KDS, Passport verification).
To communicate with you about your account, updates, and promotions.
To calculate Diner Awards rankings (using aggregated transaction data).
To comply with legal obligations.
Restaurant customer data is owned 100% by the restaurant. We act as a data processor.
Restaurants can export their customer data at any time from their dashboard.
We do not sell restaurant customer data to any third party.
We may share information:
With restaurants – customer order data is shared with the respective restaurant.
With hotels (1HourHotel) – restaurant name, menu, and contact details for partnership.
With service providers – hosting, analytics, payment gateways (who have their own privacy policies).
If required by law – to comply with legal process.
We do not share personal information for marketing purposes without consent.
We implement industry-standard security measures (encryption, access controls, regular backups). However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
Restaurant account data retained as long as your subscription is active.
After termination, you may request export of your customer data; we will delete residual data after 90 days unless legal retention required.
Access & portability: You can export your customer data.
Correction: Update your business information via dashboard.
Deletion: Cancel your account and request deletion of your business data (customer data will be deleted as per restaurant’s instruction).
Our Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or website notice.
